茶葉蛋 - Tea Eggs

My mission - to make 75 tea eggs for summer camp fundraising.
After gathering information on how to make tea eggs, I'm ready to make my own tea eggs!

Stuff to get:
75 Hard boiled eggs (~10-15 mins) (Crack around with a spoon)
Water to cover eggs
1:4  soy sauce:water
5 chinese star anise
1 tablespoon cumin
4 tablespoons brown sugar
6 Black Teabags
1 tablespoon sichuan pepper

Obviously I didn't have a pot big enough for all those stuff, so if you use several pots, make sure to divide the ingredients appropriately!

Bring everything to boil and turn off heat. Cover and sit for a good half hour to a day. Bring to boil again and they are ready.

I have yet to wait for the result... so fingers crossed and hope they turn out yummy !

P.S a litte history on tea eggs: a savory snack that can be found in China, HK, Taiwan on the street and conveniences stores. By making cracks around the eggs allow the flavor to seep in and create beautiful patterns on the eggs.
